Fuschia Procumbens

Botanical drawing. The use of pencils has allowed me to capture the fine details of the flowers. This native of NZ is the smallest fuschia in the world. The largest is also a native of NZ - Fuschia Extortica - which I have also drawn.

Carmichealia Williamsii

Botanical drawing. I have always had a love of our native plants, and this is one of them. It is no longer growing freely in the wild, if at all. But most fortunately it grows readily on cultivation. I have it growing in my garden as I just love the exquisite flowers. It comes from the broom family of plants.

Rhododendron Giganteum

Abstract Chairs

Playing and experimenting with ideas and media. Colour layout follows the colour chart with the 'ghost' chair in white. It was started in a class when we had to look at a chair and draw it without looking at the paper... hence the wonky chairs. Only much later did I pick the page up (to throw it away in clean-up mode) and had a flash of inspiration.
